A rat-a-tat Christmas

Puppentheater

With the sati(e)ric song programme "Rattenscharfe Weihnachten", theatre rat Ursula von Rätin reflects on the oddities of human Christmas customs. For years, she has been observing the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle at the Christmas market from her rat's perspective. She analyses what it's all about with a sharp bite and a keen mind. In the process, she has accumulated a lot of questions that she finally wants to talk about...

Why does everyone suddenly run to church and get wet eyes at the sound of organ music? Why are the main meals eaten at the Christmas market? Is the money for the presents really loose in your pocket? Do you suddenly love your mother-in-law after all? And is the boss perhaps not such a big cow after all, despite the cancellation of the Christmas bonus?

...and comes to the astonishing realisation: YOU JUST LOVE EACH OTHER!

But she also has lots of really good tips for us - for example, how to gallantly get rid of unloved Christmas presents.
